SS 316 Rod is a premium-grade stainless steel rod made from AISI 316 stainless steel (UNS S31600), known for its superior corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-rich and marine environments. The addition of molybdenum (Mo ~2–3%) enhances its resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chemical attack, making it ideal for demanding applications in the marine, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food processing industries. SS 316 rods are strong, durable, and perform reliably under both high temperatures and corrosive conditions.
